    • The Dow Jones Best-in-Class MILA Pacific Alliance Index, created by S&P Global, brings together the companies with the best evaluation among those listed on the stock exchanges of Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.

    LATAM Airlines Group has once again been included in S&P Global’s Dow Jones Best-in-Class Chile and MILA 2026 (Latin American Integrated Market) indices, reaffirming its position among the top-performing companies in sustainability at both national and regional levels.
    LATAM’s inclusion in these indices is based on its performance in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), S&P Global’s rigorous annual benchmark that evaluates corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, assessing key criteria such as climate strategy, risk management, human capital, and corporate governance.
    "Rejoining these indices reflects how sustainability has become deeply embedded across our business management and core decision-making processes. In an industry where the challenge of decarbonisation is uniquely complex, this result provides vital momentum and underscores a consistent effort involving thousands of employees. It brings together advances in operational efficiency, fleet modernisation, the promotion of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), circularity in our processes, and a comprehensive vision of how we generate value in the region," said Johanna Cabrera, Sustainability Manager at LATAM Airlines Group.
    In the case of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Chile 2026 index, LATAM joins an elite cohort of domestic market leaders spanning various sectors, including banking, energy, retail, telecommunications, materials, and transport.
    On a regional level, the group also features in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class MILA Pacific Alliance 2026 index, which tracks sustainability pioneers across Chile, Mexico, Peru, and Colombia. Notably, LATAM was the sole airline included in this year's edition, cementing its position as the region’s premier carrier within the aviation sector.
    This achievement follows a string of recent accolades for the group's sustainability performance. In February this year, S&P Global ranked LATAM Airlines among the world's top-performing airlines in sustainability, positioning it fifth globally and first in the Americas. Furthermore, the carrier was named an "Industry Mover 2025", a distinction reserved for companies achieving the most significant year-on-year sustainability improvements within their respective sectors.
    These milestones are the result of a long-term, sustained commitment to advancing the group's sustainability strategy. Regarding climate change management, LATAM Airlines is driving towards its target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, supported by four main pillars: fleet modernisation, operational efficiency, promoting the adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and strategic regional carbon offsetting as a complementary measure.
    In 2025 alone, the group integrated 26 next-generation aircraft into its fleet, which yield a 15% to 20% reduction in fuel consumption, according to manufacturer data. This is complemented by data-driven operational efficiency initiatives implemented since 2010—leveraging artificial intelligence and incremental operational enhancements—which have mitigated approximately 6.5 million tonnes of CO₂. emissions. This volume roughly equates to the entirety of LATAM’s annual flight operations across Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador combined. Additionally, the group has successfully offset over 3 million tonnes of CO₂. since 2019.
    In terms of circular economy and shared value, the group has slashed single-use plastics across its operations by 97%, equivalent to removing more than 1,700 tonnes of waste. Furthermore, through its Avión Solidario (Solidarity Plane) programme, the airline supports over 50 regional initiatives by providing free cargo and passenger transport for healthcare, environmental conservation, and natural disaster relief efforts.
