Málaga, 13 July 2023.- Music lovers visiting the Costa del Sol this summer are lucky, as during these months the province of Malaga is filled with the musical notes of emblematic festivals. A unique opportunity to enjoy live, in the open air and in such outstanding settings as Marbella, Malaga, Torremolinos or Nerja, all time classics, the great stars of the international scene, new trends or the most deeply-rooted traditions, with a full schedule of festivals featuring a wide range of styles including Latin rhythms, pop, rock and flamenco.
The Brisa festival will be the musical highlight of the third weekend of July in the La Malagueta bullring in Malaga, with the aim of promoting the city's local talent. An ideal occasion to get to know emerging and established local figures, as well as the city's culture from a musical perspective.
For those who want to discover the province of Malaga through its treasures, the magic of the surroundings of the Nerja Cave, one of the most spectacular in Spain, is one of the main attractions of the festival, which takes place until August in the Manuel del Campo Auditorium, in the gardens next to the cave. This year, the event reaches its 65th edition with a long list of Spanish artists and with a special focus on flamenco, with artists such as Miguel Poveda and Sara Baras.
In its two years of existence, the Puro Latino festival in Torremolinos has become the main reference for trap, reggaeton and Latin music in southern Europe. In the 2023 edition, the line-up couldn't be more promising, with Quevedo - the Spanish artist who has broken all records with his song with Bizarrap - Myke Towers and Mora.
Music and gourmet experiences in Marbella
Until September, the world's largest boutique festival, Starlite Occident, brings more than 60 days of concerts to Marbella. Throughout its eleven editions, artists such as Christina Aguilera, Elton John, Diana Ross, Lenny Kravitz, Andrea Bocelli, Sting and Anastacia have graced the stage. This year, artists such as Rod Stewart, Luis Fonsi, Iggy Pop, Eros Ramazzotti, Black Eyed Peas, Juanes and Michael Bolton are joining the great summer event in Marbella, which in addition to concerts, offers the possibility of enjoying top level gastronomy in four areas of the gourmet zone and open-air DJ sessions, and the amazing after parties. In addition, the Starlite charity gala, hosted by Antonio Banderas, will mark one of the highlights of Marbella's summer on the 13th of August.
