Autumn is the ideal time to discover the Costa del Sol beyond its beaches, to be surprised by cultural plans and enjoy nature, with routes to discover the province of Málaga, both inland and along the coast.

Málaga, October 24, 2022.- Thanks to the good weather of the Costa del Sol, you can enjoy its attractions throughout the year. Autumn is the ideal time to discover the interior with different plans whose common threads are culture -visiting part of the World Heritage of UNESCO- landscapes and nature. Also, the coast from another perspective: the hiking trails. If to all this is added an excellent gastronomy and high-level services, the offer of the Costa del Sol in autumn is as wide as the number of days you have to enjoy it.
· A route of villages to discover the flavor of Andalusia
Culture, history and art go hand in hand in many of the corners of the inland villages of the Costa del Sol, with the white of the houses contrasting with the surrounding landscapes. Ernest Hemingway, Orson Welles or Rilke already fell in love with the monumentality of Ronda, a beautiful town built around an impressive gorge. The 18th century bridge, almost 100 meters high and with large arches, is its most characteristic image. Meanwhile, in Frigiliana, it is worth getting lost in its narrow streets and discovering palaces, churches, castles and even the only traditional honey factory in Europe. In the heart of Andalusia, Antequera, history is breathed in every corner: from the Muslim fortress, its monumental gates and, in general, in the enormous architectural ensemble of the town.
· A Prehistoric Journey
For those who want to immerse themselves in a journey to the distant past, in Costa del Sol they have the opportunity to enjoy one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Europe, the Dolmens of Antequera. With approximately 6,000 years old, these megalithic constructions are part of the catalog of the World Heritage of UNESCO.
· Landscapes to fall in love
Also, part of the site of the Dolmens of Antequera is the Peña de los Enamorados, which harbors a legend that dates back to Muslim times, and the Torcal. This impressive karst landscape, which is also part of the UNESCO Heritage, owes its forms to the erosion and sedimentation of the strata and is also the ideal place to enjoy a unique flora and fauna.
· Legendary roads
The Caminito del Rey runs between trails and walkways, dizzying landscapes between two gorges, canyons and a large valley. With walls that reach 300 meters high, it is one of the essential activities on the Costa del Sol at any time, but also in autumn you can enjoy the different shades of the environment, which is an even more impressive experience.
· Routes to discover the Costa del Sol from inside out
Along 850 kilometers divided into 35 stages, the Gran Senda de Málaga offers the opportunity to cross the province through nine natural areas, as well as to enjoy the historical heritage, monuments, archaeological sites or museums, among many other attractions. On foot, by bike or on horseback, the Gran Senda is the best way to get closer to the traditions and way of life of the Costa del Sol.
